Living It

Jessica Humphries is an adventurous spirit.

“How can work be the most important part of life? Life is short, how can you not live a real one?” Jessica’s pursuit of poetry life is a wonderful gift from her father, who often kept saying to her: “Life is short and you must go on a trip.”

Born on Australia Day, Jessica has been proud of the country. Since her childhood, she’s had the dream of travelling around the home country. Roughly two years ago, She and her husband decided to take two little daughters on the trip. Where to go? No plan, and Jessica flipped a coin. They made stops very spontaneously, sometimes for unexpected sceneries and unknown places, sometimes for kids’ fun, sometimes they also set up a tent outside, sleeping under the stars.

In Alice spring, they caught up with the “camel cup”; in Darwin, they made a swift decision to fly over the sea to Bali and spent two weeks there; in Broom, they settled for 9 months and gave birth to their third baby.

She got the sportsmanship.

After graduating from school, Jessica applied to the role of green’s keeper at Greg Norman ’s Golf Club, a golf club founded by one of Australia ’s most prestigious professional golfers. Then she became an independent PE teacher at several schools in Melbourne. Cricket, netball, and Australian football are all her things. Jessica’s enthusiasm for sports and her inspiring teaching style made her very popular among the school children. During that period, Jessica was fully occupied. After five years of busy career life, Jessica felt it was time to slow down and she then made the road trip.

She is also a normal girl that loves dad.

After returning from the trip, she got an offer to try boxing. She believed this boxing offer is the way she can fight for her sick dad, who was going through tough treatments and operations. They were trained together: Jessica was doing running and boxing stuff, while her dad was improving his strength in his wheelchair. Just before she went out for the final fight, dad got very sick. The doctor told her that her father had only a couple of weeks left. Jessica wanted to get him a trophy. And so she did. She won the Fitlife cup Victoria for both of them. It was only 8 months since she started boxing from scratch.

Love is going on and abundantly, Jessica Humphries is living it.
